Watch out, arachnophobes...
Every evening, this young lady builds a brand new web and catches herself a yummy morsel. She's lived here long enough to be considered a part of the family, really. I call her Alex (I don't know much about spiders, so I wanted to pick a good, gender nonspecific name. I certainly don't want to play favorites, so I took pictures last night:

What good pics! We have a "friend" who builds a web each night using the top rail of our deck. It's cool to watch each night, but I keep my distance!

Is this the one that lives in your basement window?
Nope, this one lived on my porch, right by the back door. The storm, however, seems to have made fast work of our 8-legged friend, as she has not made an appearance since.
